SLAM Camp

Facilitated by Sha'DIya Tomlin from STL Verbquake Youth Slam Team

SLAM Camp is a poetry and arts camp that will teach teens about slam poetry while building public speaking skills. Teens will be able to let their creativity shine through their writing and being able to express themselves through the art of slam no matter the writing level.

Students will create original poems and spoken word pieces in several different styles; and learn the basics of effective communication through voice and body language.
